Regular & Cruise Maritime Terminals

The boom in cruise tourism in Spain from 2010 onwards drove the construction of new terminals. LFJ adapted to this evolution, developing specific solutions for the port environment: check-in screens, baggage management systems, LED video walls, monitors for food service areas and on-board services, as well as departure and arrival information systems at regular terminals.

Today, LFJ is the company with the largest presence in Spain for passenger information solutions at maritime and cruise terminals.

Centralised Control of Unattended Stations

In Spain and other countries, in addition to major bus terminals, there are halts and small stations in mid-sized towns, often unstaffed or with limited services. To ensure passengers continue to receive up-to-date information, LFJ developed Display Center: an application that enables the centralised management of LCD and LED screen networks.

This system connects in real time to various data centres and has its own timetable database, companies and transit days, ensuring effective communication even in environments without on-site supervision.

Rail & Tram

Beyond the major centralised projects of Renfe or the AVE high-speed rail, there are numerous decentralised rail and tram systems, both urban and tourist.

LFJ offers solutions tailored to these services, fully integrated with their respective SAE systems. Examples such as the TRAM de Barcelona, the TRAM d’Alacant or the Ferrocarril de Sóller reflect LFJ’s flexibility and technological adaptability across different operational environments.

Access & Parking Control

LFJ does not manage private car parks, but has adapted its technology — developed for major bus stations — to access and parking area control in logistics facilities, automated terminals and lorry parks.

We analyse each project individually, incorporating innovative artificial intelligence-based solutions for presence detection, licence plate reading, and the generation of operational reports and statistics.

At LFJ, we manufacture most of the equipment we install. In recent years, we have been firmly committed to innovation in e-ink displays.

In 2021, we signed an agreement with the prestigious Elisava design school in Barcelona to jointly develop a low-power, solar-powered e-ink display. The knowledge gained from this project has since been applied to new information solutions adapted to different environments and needs.

    Who handles screen installation?

    We can take care of everything, although we also work in collaboration with construction and installation companies.

    We carry out direct physical installation throughout Spain and collaborate with local installers in European and American countries.

    If the client prefers, they can carry out the installation themselves, with our phone and remote support available at all times.

    Do your screens, or the software itself, come with a warranty?

    We guarantee our hardware products with 2-year coverage at our facilities and back our software with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

    Are these off-the-shelf products or are you open to custom development?

    LFJ carries out bespoke development to complement and enhance our solutions. We develop real-time SAE system links, GTFS links, web service queries, data exports for mobile apps or websites, complementary data modules and a wide range of real-time data widgets.

    Are you a software manufacturer?

    Indeed, all the software we offer at LFJ is developed entirely by our systems department. Furthermore, our methodology is based on constant consultation of our own clients' suggestions.

    Are you a hardware manufacturer?

    LFJ manufactures stop displays, e-ink displays, LCD displays for urban stops, touch-screen access terminals with intercom, visually impaired terminals, totems and a wide range of products. At LFJ, we combine our own manufactured products with market products, always keeping pace with the most advanced technologies.

    Do you offer Artificial Intelligence-based control solutions?

    Yes, at LFJ we have developed a system for the control of bays, car parks and logistics centres based on IP cameras and artificial intelligence. It uses our own identification and control algorithms with effectiveness rates exceeding 99%.

    This system allows a station to be automatically monitored, detecting companies and vehicles occupying incorrect bays.
